President's Message

I hope this message finds all of our families and staff making a smooth transition into the new school year.  As I said in my previous message, I want to continue to educate families about the role PTA plays in our children’s lives:

·         The PTA is the oldest and largest volunteer association working on children and youth issues.  In California alone, we have approximately 1 million PTA members (The larger our membership, the louder our voice before our local, state, and national government representatives).  If you have joined your PTA this year, thank you!  If you are still trying to decide whether to join or not, I would encourage you to do so and welcome any questions you may have.

·         The PTA is a nonpartisan, nonsectarian, and noncommercial organization that promotes the welfare of our children in home, school, and community.

·         The PTA encourages communication and cooperation between families and schools to ensure that our children receive the best possible physical, mental, and social education.

·         The PTA develops educational programs and services for parents, teachers, students, and our community.

·         The PTA fosters leadership skills in both adults and students.  PTA volunteers are leaders and advocates in our schools and communities for our children.

·         PTA is 100% volunteer!

The state and national levels of PTA concentrate the majority of their efforts advocating for legislation that supports and protects our children.  Your unit PTA at Adobe Bluffs utilizes its resources to lend support to our families and teachers to ensure the best possible educational experience for everyone.

If you would like to learn more about PTA, please check out these websites:

Thank you for all everyone does to support our children,

Ron Cole

The Ball Room desperately needs your help!

The AB PTA is looking for a few volunteers to rotate during lunch recess  on Tues. and Thurs. (except when raining.)  If you are interested in giving about an hour of time (11:25-12:15) to make our wonderful Adobe Bluffs kids happy, we could use your help.  The job is EASY and the reward is seeing the kids’ smiles.  What ever time you could give would be awesome...first Tues., every other Thurs.., you decide.

Please consider helping.  I know I won't be able to be there EVERY Tues/Thurs and the kids really, really get excited to use the equipment.  Especially the non-sports kids, they love the board games!  Please contact Jaime Kaesbauer at jaime_kaesbauer@hotmail.com. I will explain details further to those interested.

This photograph submitted by Santina Telio from Mountainview Elementary PTA, Saugus, CA won an Intermediate Division (grade 3-5) Award of Excellence in the 2007 Reflections Program.  Titled "I Love to recycle", her photo interpreted the 2007 theme "I can make a difference..." Click here to see more winning enteries from the 2007 Reflections Program.

The ABES PTA wants to invite Adobe Bluff Aztecs to unleash their natural creativity by participating in Reflections, a wonderful arts recognition program sponsored by the National PTA and California PTA. It's Good (and Easy) to Support Adobe Bluffs

What if Adobe Bluffs Elementary School earned a penny every time you searched the Internet? Or how about if a percentage of every purchase you made online went to support our cause? Well, now it can!

GoodSearch.com is a Yahoo-powered search engine that donates half its advertising revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate. Use it just as you would any search engine, get quality search results from Yahoo, and watch the donations add up! Just go to http://www.goodsearch.com/?charityid=813183  (that is for Adobe Bluffs Elementary School). And, be sure to spread the word!

Goodshop.com is an online shopping mall which donates up to 37 percent of each purchase to your favorite cause! Hundreds of great stores including Amazon, Target, Gap, Best Buy, ebay, Macy's and Barnes & Noble have teamed up with GoodShop and every time you place an order, you’ll be supporting your favorite cause.
